Members of the Stigall Lab research a diverse array of topics focused on evolutionary, ecological, and biogeographic concepts. Students projects often focus on evolutionary dynamics of Paleozoic shallow marine invertebrates, but have included freshwater and terrestrial arthropods, gastropods, and vertebrates as well. We are all share a passion for our science, appreciation of nerdy paleontology humor, and a love of brachiopods (at least by graduation).
Our lab typically includes two or three MS students and at least two undergraduates. Members of the Stigall lab interact broadly with other labs in the Departments of Geological Sciences, Biological Sciences, Environmental and Plant Biology, and the OHIO Center for Ecology and Evolutionary Studies.
